Nicolas was born and raised in Paris, France. After high school, he enrolled at the preparatory classes for the grandes écoles at the Lycée Charlemagne in Paris and was admitted to the Ecole Normale Supérieure (Paris-Saclay, France) in 2012. He then obtained his MSc (Organic Chemistry) from the Ecole Polytechnique (Palaiseau, France) while doing his master's thesis under Stellios’ supervision in Paris. After graduation, he did a one-year industrial placement at Noxxon Pharma in Berlin, Germany. He finally moved to London to pursue his PhD in the group in January 2017. His work focuses on DNA-based asymmetric catalysis with special emphasis on the development of catalytically active synthetic oligonucleotides. When he’s not in the lab, Nico is either on his bike or eating Italian food. Sometimes he does both in the same time. Sometimes he falls.
